studying animal physiology in the lab and field
Welcome to the Hindle Lab at UNLV
Research Focus
We study cardiovascular regulation, biochemical adaptations, and hypoxia tolerance in animals that naturally possess extreme traits. We primarily focus on cardiovascular regulation and hypoxia tolerance of marine mammals and hibernators, to define physiological limits for wild species and to uncover new strategies for human critical care.
